Teen Consent Workshop (Spanish)

Most of us have heard the term "consent" before. But what does consent actually entail? And even if consent is always the "perfect ideal," sometimes it's not that simple. What makes practicing consent feel difficult, and sometimes unrealistic, in the moment? The Rape Recovery Center's violence prevention staff present this session to explore the nuances and realities of consent in action. We will discuss what consent is and why it's important, including how to ask for, give, deny, or revoke consent. We will also discuss what makes consent communication hard—sometimes really hard—along with how to incorporate consent at every level of any healthy relationship, even when situations get complicated.

This event will be held at the Salt Lake Public Library: Glendale Branch
