Outreach Program

What is outreach?

The Rape Recovery Center is committed to increasing awareness and engaging all communities in the goal of ending sexual violence. Our outreach team develops and contributes to a wide range of programs, events, and projects to increase awareness and education around consent, sexual violence, services, empowerment, and volunteer opportunities. We offer a wide range of services for communities to come together and learn about the Rape Recovery Center’s efforts to end, prevent, and educate on sexual violence in Utah.

Interested in hosting us or becoming involved in our mission? Here are a few ways:

  • The Rape Recovery Center is available to attend any indoor or outdoor event with the overall objective of engaging with folks to spread awareness about our mission. Our outreach team provides the opportunity to engage with the community. Tabling opportunities allow us to:

    • hear moving stories

    • learn about our services

    • learn about ways to prevent sexual violence (includes take home information such as brochures/packets)

    • buy RRC merch

    • learn about ways to get involved

  • Our open houses are a way for the community to learn about our services and what you as a community member can do and ways to get involved. We will give a presentation on services, events, and ways to can support us directly at the Rape Recovery Center.

You can join our open house events by visiting the calendar on our website to check out upcoming dates.

  • The Rape Recovery Center’s outreach team is available for collaboration opportunities. Collaboration can help in amplify the voices of our organizations by reaching out to larger audiences, create innovation and share skills to enhance each organization, and create awesome events.

The RRC has collaborated in the past with organizations such as the SLC library, Draw Inc, UCASA, YWCA, UDVC, YCC Ogden, and SVS.

View some of our past collaborations here.

  • We offer presentations for your organization, church, co-op, and you or your peers! The RRC offers a range of workshops such as sexual violence overview, rape myths, bystander intervention, and many more.
